After graduating from the Tokyo Institute of Technology with a master's degree in engineering, Masahiko engaged in research and development of semiconductors and electronic devices at a major general electronics manufacturer. During that time, he conducted successful research of quantum effect devices and crystal growth as a visiting scholar at the University of Southern California.In 1995, Masahiko passed the patent attorney examination. After practicing at a major patent and law firm, he established a partnership and later opened Hyugaji & Associates in 2004.
